Healthy Honey Mustard

Most people who try to eat healthier immediately look to salads. After all, they can be a great option to get more veggies and nutrients in your day, without a lot of extra calories that you don’t need. However, when you top a salad with greasy french fries, high-calorie toppings, and fatty dressings, laden with additives and chemicals, you basically undo all of the hard work you put in making a healthy choice in the first place.

A better option is a salad topped with this amazing Honey Mustard recipe. Most store bought honey mustards contain those same additives and chemicals that are terrible for your body, so why not create your own with simple ingredients that you might just already have around your house. I make this dressing all the time as a salad topper, or dipping sauce for chicken and other great meals. Enjoy!

Tips:
If you are making a single serving, these amounts should work. However, if you are making a larger batch, you will want to increase the amounts accordingly.

This recipe is primarily based on taste and can be adjusted easily for the consumer’s needs. For example, if you like it to be more zingy, add more apple cider vinegar, if you want a more savory flavor, add more garlic powder.
If you want a thicker sauce for marinades and dipping sauce, use more mustard. If you want a thinner sauce for dressing, use more apple cider vinegar.

For liquid Stevia, I prefer to use Better Stevia. It is an all natural, affordable sweetener option that lasts a long time and is easier to mix in than other powdered varieties. However, it is a lot sweeter than sugar, so use one drop at a time until you reach the desired taste.
